To remove the clarinet from the case, lift it from the edges. Never grab the clarinet by its keys. The compact clarinet stand is stored inside the clarinet bell. To assemble the stand, unscrew the cap at the bottom, extend the legs, and screw the cap back on.

Assembling the clarinet requires several steps: 1. Lubricate all tenon-corks on the mouthpiece, upper and lower joints with the included cork-grease, applying an even coat. 2. Gently attach the barrel to the upper joint of the clarinet in a twisting motion. 3. Gently attach the bell to the lower joint of the clarinet in a twisting motion. 4. Connect the upper joint to the lower joint in a gentle twisting motion, while pressing the large ring key to bring the upper bridge key up.

Attaching the reed involves moistening the thin end, removing the ligature from the mouthpiece, positioning the reed on the mouthpiece, sliding the ligature over the reed and mouthpiece, and adjusting and tightening the ligature screws.

Pitch is affected by temperature, so warm up the clarinet before playing by blowing air through it. Use a chromatic tuner or piano to help tune the clarinet to the tuning pitches of C and G. Adjust the intonation by pulling the barrel slightly away from the body or by adjusting the upper and lower joints.

In addition to the steps described, it is recommended to bring the clarinet to a skilled technician at least once a year for servicing.
